Two people were killed and two others injured Wednesday afternoon in a one-vehicle wreck in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the wreck at 12:10, on Business MO-13 at County Road SE 190.

According to the online crash report, a 1986 Chevrolet was northbound, when it traveled off the right side of the road, struck a ditch, and then struck a pedestrian. The vehicle then collided with a tree and came to rest.

The driver, 54-year old Curtis D. Sartin, of Osceola, and the pedestrian, 39-year old Cindy M. Stehmann, of Warrensburg, were both killed in the accident. Sartin's body was taken to Sweeny-Phillips and Holdren Funeral Home. Stehmann's body was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center.

According to the report, two passengers in the Chevy were injured, 24-year old William J. Whitehurst and 30-year old Tabitha N. May, both of Eldon, MO.

Whitehurst was taken to Research Medical Center, by Lifeflight, for the treatment of serious injuries. May was taken to Western Missouri Medical Center, by JCAD, for treatment of moderate injuries.
