If you're a little bit country and a little bit rock 'n roll, well you're in heaven this week as Country Superstar Kacey Musgraves and long time Rock N Rollers The Black Crowes have new album releases this week, and listening parties in Sedalia where you can hear these albums FIRST.

Musgrave's new album "Deeper Well" comes out on Friday, March 15, 2024. From the reviews I read, Musgrave's new record is a mellow affair, reflecting on her life now and the healing she's experienced since recording her post-divorce record "Star Crossed" in 2021.

Jammin' Nuggets Music owner James Harmon likes the new record from Musgraves and characterizes it as more of an outlaw country record, one that is on the mellow side and a good listen. His characterization of the album is enough to make me want to hear it.

The Black Crowes release their first album of material in 15 years with "Happiness Bastards" this Friday, March 15, 2024. Here's what The Black Crowes public relations writer says about the new record, "Call it brotherly love or music destiny that brought them back together, the highly anticipated record consecrating the reunion of this legendary band just may be the thing that saves rock & roll."

The Robinson Brothers haven't always gotten along, however, it seems since reforming in 2019, playing shows, and celebrating the 30th anniversay of the bands debut "Shake Your Money Maker" the boys decided they had something to say. My spies at Loudwire Nights tell me it's a really good album.

I really enjoyed watching the video for "Wanting and Waiting" which definitely has a similarity to "Jealous Again". What was fun about watching the video was seeing an older Chris Robinson move around the stage, dude hasn't lost a step since the 80s. The other new video I checked out "Cross Your Fingers" has that Black Crowes sound too. Based on these two tunes I can't wait to hear the rest of the record.

Speaking of hearing the "rest of the record", Jammin' Nuggets Music has listening parties for both of these album releases this week.

The listening party for Kacey Musgrave's "Deeper Well" is Wednesday Night, March 13, at 7:00 PM.  The listening party for The Black Crowes "Happiness Bastards" is Thursday Night, March 14 at 7:00 PM. Jammin' Nuggets Music is located on South Ohio Street in Sedalia, Missouri.

Each listening party will feature some free no-purchase necessary giveaways from the artist. Jammin' Nuggets will also accept pre-orders for the record which will be available in store Friday. For The Black Crowes, provided the record is in stock, fans will be able to purchase it that night.
