KC Man On Sex Registry List Arrested at Heckart Center

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Heckart Community Center, 1800 West 3rd Street Monday afternoon, to investigate a report of a subject inside that was not allowed to be there.

The subject was not allowed to be near a park, due to being on the sex registry list (2007, Unclassified RSMo: 566.062).

Upon arrival, Officers contacted the suspect. It was confirmed he was prohibited from being inside parks. John Edward Hutton, 49, of Kansas City, was placed under arrest.

Hutton was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold pending the filing of felony charges of Sex Offender Physically Present/Loitering Within 500 Feet of a Park with a Playground, Pool, or Museum.

Bond for Hutton was set at $50,000 cash or surety.
