Leticia Lagunday Panganiban, 76, of Sedalia, passed away Monday, December 31, 2012, at Bothwell Regional Health Center.  She was born January 2, 1936, in Pasig Rizal, Philippines, daughter of Demetrio and Blandina Peras Lagunday. On December 2, 1957, in the Philippines, she was married to Jovis A. Panganiban, who preceded her in death on April 7, 2010.  Mrs. Panganiban was a devoted believer and member of Sacred Heart Church. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella and a longtime member of the Daughters of Mary Immaculate International, Roxas District Chapter, Philippines. She encouraged praying the Rosary, and enjoyed cooking, gardening and tending her flowers. She volunteered at the Sedalia Senior Center and worked for several years at Wal-Mart.  Surviving are six children, Deo Panganiban, Higinio Panganiban and wife Cheryl, Jolly Parsons and husband Scott, Joy Villanueva and husband Pete, Judy Panganiban, and Noel Panganiban and wife Marimer; five grandchildren, Aaron Villanueva, Abigail Villanueva, Benedict Panganiban, Nathenia Panganiban and Kirsten Panganiban; and two siblings, Emma Lagunday and Demetrio Lagunday, Jr.   In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Juliet.   Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Church, with Father Mark Miller officiating.   The Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Friday at Heckart Funeral Home, with visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m.  Inurnment will be at a later date in the Philippines.  Condolences may be offered at heckartfuneralhome.com.
