Looking For A Peaceful Place To Relax? This Remote Lake Does The Trick
One of the great things about living in Missouri is that there are so many places that you can go, if you need to get away. Want a place where you can have peace and quiet? Perhaps do a little fishing, hiking, or floating on a boat. Then Pinewoods Lake might be the perfect place for you to get some peace and quiet.
If you like the outdoors, then this might be the perfect place for you. The lake is located in the Pinewoods Recreation Area of Mark Twain National Forest. Only 31 acres. If you like to fish, this would be a great place, and it is also handicap accessible.

Pinewoods Lake area is open from 6 am to 10pm daily and you can also expect to see ducks and beavers. I bet the sunsets are quite breathtaking as well.
Obviously being on the water could be very therapeutic, but there are plenty of places to walk or hike as well. The Pinewoods Lake Loop Trail isn't too long. Only about a mile and half. Comfy shoes, and you should be fine.
The trail wanders around the lake. However, you'll likely want to avoid it if you're visiting after heavy rain. It can get really muddy, and you'll likely get wet.
So if you are looking for some quiet time, some private time, and some wonderful views, perhaps this lake is just what you are looking for.
Who wants to check out the lake? It does look peaceful. Pinewoods Lake, Johnson Township, MO 63937
