Margaret "Maggie" Yeager, 69, of Independence, MO, passed away in her home Friday, October 26, 2012.

Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 2, 2012 at St. Mark's Catholic Church; 3736 S. Lee's Summit Rd. Independence, MO. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8pm Thursday, Nov. 1, at Speaks Suburban Chapel 18020 E 39th Street Independence, MO.

Maggie was born August 6, 1943 in San Antonio, TX to H. Ross and Hilda Young (Smith) Morris. She was raised by grandparents, Reuben L. and Stella Young, after the early death of her mother. Maggie graduated in 1961 from Smithton High School. That same year she married Richard G. Yeager, and together they raised 2 children. Maggie was a devoted mother supporting many of her children's talents including basketball, and scouting. She was an avid traveler enjoying trips with her husband, friends, and sister. One of Maggie's favorite locations was the beach where she could view the beauty of the ocean, dolphins, and pelicans. She will always be remembered for her loving, helping and compassionate spirit.

Maggie is survived by son, Jason Yeager, of Lee's Summit, MO; Daughter, Rachelle Yeager of Blue Springs, MO; grandchildren: Abigail Roybal of Blue Springs, MO; and Jeffrey Roybal of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Dorothye Wentworth of Alton, NH; family friend, Mary Malich of Blue Springs, MO and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband in 2009. The family wishes to extend special thanks to family, friends and neighbors for their encouragement. In lieu of flowers they encourage donations to American Cancer Society, 1100 Pennsylvania Ave, Independence MO 64050.
