An 18-year old Marshall man was taken to a Columbia hospital after suffering moderate injuries in a head-on vehicle collision Tuesday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the wreck just before 4:00 in Saline County, in the area of 240th Road.

According to the online crash report, a Pontiac Grand Prix began to slide and traveled across the center of the roadway. The Pontiac slid into the path of a Chevy Silverado causing the vehicles to strike head-on.

The driver of the Pontiac, 18-year old Logan A. Johnson, received moderate injuries and was taken to University of Missouri hospital, by Slater EMS, for treatment.

The report indicates the driver of the Chevy, 22-year Matthew R. Curren, of Slater, was not injured.
