Marshall Woman Injured When Vehicle Hits Rock

A Marshall woman was injured on Sunday morning when her vehicle hit a large rock.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 2010 Dodge Charger, driven by 40-year-old Laura A. Johnson of Marshall, was on Route BB, just west of Hidden Valley Road in Benton County at 6:10 a.m. Sunday morning, when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a large rock.

Johnson suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment by Warsaw-Lincoln Ambulance. She was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The Charger had extensive damage and was towed.

Benton County deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
