Care Connection for Aging Services will conduct a “Medicare 101” presentation at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 21st, at the Sedalia Senior Center.

According to a press release from Care Connection, the hour-long session is tailored for people who are new to Medicare, including people preparing for retirement. The workshop addresses benefits, premiums, deductibles and copayments, as well as the differences in Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D.

The session is free and open to the public, however, reservations are required. Call 1-800-748-7826 to reserve a spot. Lunch will be available to people who are 60 and older for a contribution. Lunch costs $7 for people younger than 60.

The presentation also will cover topics related to finding help in paying for prescriptions and medical care. Additionally, the workshop addresses prescription drug plans, supplemental insurance and Medicare Advantage plans. A question-and-answer session will follow.
