Funeral Announcements for August 20, 2025

Visitation for Morris Lee “Brownie” Brown, 91, of Sedalia, will be from 11 a.m., to 12:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22 at Heckart Funeral Home, where a funeral service will begin at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors at graveside.

A celebration of life for Charles "Chuck" Alden Loucks, 61, of Sedalia, will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22 at Rea Funeral Chapel, with full military honors following at 7 p.m., provided by the United States Marine Corps and Sedalia VFW Post #2591.

Funeral service for Melissa "Leesa" Kay Scott-Richie, 58, of Sedalia, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23 at Rea Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery,

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date for Lisa Ann Moon, 65, of Sedalia. Arrangements are in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.

A celebration of Life for Louis Lee Barkacs, 87, of Sedalia, will be held Monday at 11 a.m.  August 25 at Calvary Episcopal Church.

Funeral service for John Roy Houston, 89, of Sedalia,  will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 22 at Rea Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 21 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Salem Cemetery in Smithton.

Funeral service for Eleanor Murial Doud, 88, of Sedalia, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 21 at Rea Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Burial will follow at Highland Sacred Gardens in Sedalia.

Funeral service for Carlyn J. Crawford, 92, of Sedalia, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 25 at Rea Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

There will be a memorial service held at a later date by the family of Larry James Murphy Sr., 79, of Sedalia. Cremation arrangements in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
