Grand Opening for Memory Lanes Set for November 9
Ground was broken for Memory Lanes bowling alley on October 8, 2025 at 601 East Broadway, as well as the new city fire station and training facility.
Funded in part by a $6 million donation from Sue Heckart, the facility includes 16 string-pin bowling lanes, a restaurant, and an e-sports center.
Over a year later from the date of the ground-breaking, a grand opening and celebration for the bowling alley and E-sports Arena will be held Nov. 9 at 613 E. Broadway.

Kevin Farner was hired as the bowling superintendent and manager for Memory Lanes about a month ago.
Nabholz Construction is the general contractor for the project.
On Nov. 9, the building will open at 10 and Sedalia Parks & Rec will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:30.

The public is invited to attend.

The Sedalia Fire Department will schedule its own date for a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house.
Chief Matt Irwin indicated that he anticipates a tentative date of Oct 1.
The new facility will replace the old Central Fire Station on Hancock.
