It may be Major League Baseball Playoff time, but there was big news from the MINK League this weekend. The MINK League held their annual meeting last weekend in St. Joseph and announced that the Branson Nationals will be a new team coming to the league. This is the first time a new team has come into the league since the Sedalia Bombers and St. Joseph Mustangs came on board in 2009.

"This will be a brand new team in the South," said Sedalia Bombers Owner and Coach Jud Kindle. "The league will now be a five team South Division and Four Team North Division. They will be a great addition to our league."

Branson is set to begin play in 2014 and will use College of the Ozarks in Branson as their home field.

The MINK League North will include the St. Joseph Mustangs, Omaha Diamond Spirit, Clarinda A's and Chilicothe Mudcats

The Mink League South includes the Sedalia Bombers, Joplin Outlaws, Nevada Griffons, Ozark Generals and Branson Nationals.
