The Missouri Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at State Fair Community College will host an Introduction and Advanced QuickBooks Desktop training in Fielding Center on the Sedalia campus.

The sessions will be held 6-9 p.m. Introduction session will be Oct. 12 and advanced session will be Oct. 19. Cost is $39 per person per session.

The introduction session on Oct. 12 is ideal for those who are new to the software or who want to become more confident and proficient in business accounting. Topics include how to set up the program and chart of accounts; and how to navigate and set up company preferences.

Participants will learn how to use QuickBooks Desktop to write checks, enter and pay bills, create invoices and sales receipts, and more. To register for the introduction session, go to https://missouri.ecenterdirect.com/events/23916.

The advanced session on Oct. 19 is for those who already understand the basics of QuickBooks Desktop or who have successfully completed the introduction session. Participants will learn more in-depth features of the program’s accounting tools and procedures. This session is recommended for small business owners, bookkeepers or accountants who need a QuickBooks Desktop refresher.
