Missouri SBDC To Offer No Cost, Online ‘Protecting Your Business Using an Intellectual Property Strategy’
The Missouri Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at State Fair Community College is offering, at no cost, a webinar to help businesses develop strategies to create an intellectual property plan from 11:30 a.m. to 12: 30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 14.
Regardless of the size of the business or industry, intellectual property plays a large role in its successful operation. Participants will learn what intellectual property (IP) is, the part it plays in the business and how to determine the different types and values. Examples of IP and how to create an IP strategy are features of the webinar.
Lisa Lorenzen, PhD, Assistant Vice Chancellor, Technology Advancement at University of Missouri, will be the presenter. MU Extension is the sponsor.
There is no cost, but registration is required to receive the Zoom link to the webinar. Participants can go to www.sfccmo.edu/thelearningforce; select Schedule of Courses link; and locate the SBDC schedule on the webpage to register. People also may contact Kelly Asbury, SBDC director, at kasbury1@sfccmo.edu or (660) 596-7350 for assistance.
The Missouri SBDC is made possible by a funding partnership through the federal Small Business Administration, University of Missouri Extension and State Fair Community College’s The LearningForce.
