Missouri State Highway Patrol Reports a Fatal Accident in Johnson County Wednesday June 11, 2014

At 12pm Wednesday the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a fatality accident on Eastbound Route “Y” a half mile East of Southeast 501 Road in Johnson County. The accident reportedly occurred as a 2006 GMC driven by 67-year-old Wayne Maxwell of Windsor was pulling out of a private driveway onto Route “Y”. The driver of a 2000 Kawasaki, 40-year-old Aaron Miller also of Windsor applied his brake and attempted to avoid the GMC, but struck it in the rear. The Kawasaki then overturned, and ejected Miller causing him fatal injuries. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Johnson County Coroner. Miller was taken to Swinney Phillips Funeral Services in Warrensburg.
