Missouri’s ATF Could Get Funding Boost

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) — Missouri's alcohol and tobacco enforcement efforts could get an earmarked funding boost under a plan endorsed by the state Senate. Legislation given initial approval would dedicate 70 percent of the fees from alcohol and tobacco licenses and permits to a special state fund. The money could be used for such things as enforcing state laws prohibiting the sale of those products to minors.
