The Missouri Department of Transportation has closed the Route M bridge over Flat Creek for a complete replacement project that will last 120 days.

This is one of three bridges being repaired or replaced by MoDOT over the next several months that will close portions of Route M through June.

After completion of Flat Creek, crews will move to Walnut Creek south of Sedalia for about 40 days.

Finally, Breakfast Creek on Route M will be closed for about 45 days for deck and superstructure replacement.

Traffic will be detoured along Route 50 to Route 65 onto Route V and back to Route M, according to MoDOT.

All three bridges are currently striped for one-lane traffic, but will accommodate two-lane traffic after the repairs.
