MSHP Accident Report for April 20, 2016

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported an injury accident early Wednesday morning around 12:20, in Pettis County, on South 65, just south of Mather Road. The accident occurred as the driver of a 1997 Suzuki Swift was travelling north, in the southbound lane. The Suzuki was struck head-on by a Dodge Ram.  Both vehicles then travelled off the west side of the roadway. The driver of the Suzuki, 55-year old Paul A. Chittum, of Sedalia, suffered serious injuries in the crash. He was transported to University of Columbia Hospital, by Staff for Life air ambulance.
