Sedalia Police Reports for April 30, 2024

Monday night, Officers conducted a welfare check in the 1300 block of South Murray Avenue. Officers made contact with an intoxicated male subject, and checked his information with Dispatch. The subject was found to have an active Failure to Appear warrant from Cooper County. The incident occurred in August of 2023, when he was cited for Failure to Wear a Seat Belt, and No Front License Plate. The warrant was issued in October of 2023, when the subject failed to appear in court. David Allen Hicks, 55, of Sedalia, was arrested for his warrant. Hicks was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked, with a bond of $10 cash only.

Sedalia Police conducted a vehicle stop at East Broadway Boulevard and South Hancock Avenue Monday night. Officers made contact with the driver and checked his information with Dispatch. It was then confirmed he had an active warrant for his arrest. The original incident occurred in January of 2023, and eventually a warrant was issued in June of 2023. Kevin Joseph Hontz, 35, of Sedalia, was arrested for his Failure to Appear warrant from Knob Noster on original charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility (No Insurance). Hontz was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked, pending a cash only bond of $150.00.

Monday morning, officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of South Lamine Avenue in reference to an assault. Officers gathered information for a report.

Officers were dispatched to the Phillips 66, 120 East 16th Street, Monday morning in reference to a theft. Officers gathered information for a report.

Monday morning, an Officer was dispatched to the Amigo Tire Shop, 2409 West Broadway Boulevard. Jose Cisneros reported a trailer was stolen from the parking lot. The trailer was entered into NCIC and MULES as stolen.
