On Friday, May 5 beginning at 6 a.m. and continuing through 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, Union Pacific Railroad will have a contractor replacing the crossing on North Harding Avenue between E. Broadway Boulevard (U.S. Highway 50) and East Harvey Street, which has failed.

The work will require North Harding Ave. to be closed to through traffic between East Broadway Blvd. (U.S. Highway 50) and E. Harvey Street. Traffic will need to find an alternate route to their destination during this period as Union Pacific has the crossing replaced.

The nearest roadway allowing crossing of the UP rail line from the North Harding job site is to the west at Emmett Ave.

The City apologized for any inconvenience the roadway closure may cause as UP and the City work to improve roadway surfaces in the area.

Please note that this project is weather and equipment dependent and may be delayed due to inclement weather or equipment breakdowns.
