One in Three Missourians Have Received the COVID-19 Vaccine

In a report from Missouri Governor Michael L. Parson, at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine has been received by one-third of Missourians.

The numbers show that In total, nearly 2.1 million Missourians have initiated vaccination and almost 1.4 million Missourians have been fully vaccinated. Missouri's dashboard shows that 33.3 percent of all Missourians have initiated vaccination, and data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) shows that nearly 42 percent of Missouri's 18 and older population has received at least one dose.

For Missouri's older population and some of the most vulnerable -ages 65 and older- the numbers for vaccinations in the state are even higher. Nearly 60 percent have been fully vaccinated and 72 percent have received at least one dose.

Although the  FDA and CDC called for an "immediate pause" in the administering of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, vaccination locations and dates are still available in our area.

Bothwell Regional Health Center will hold several COVID-19 vaccine clinics through the month of April in Sedalia and Warsaw. All Missourians who meet the minimum age per vaccine manufacturer’s guidelines are now eligible to receive a vaccine.

April 21, 8 to 10:30 am for the Pfizer vaccine at Bothwell Internal Medicine on the second floor of the Bothwell Healing Arts Center, 3700 W. 10th Street in Sedalia

April 29, 8:30 am to noon for the Pfizer vaccine at Bothwell Health Center Truman Lake, 1765 Commercial Street in Warsaw

April 29, 1 to 5 pm for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at Bothwell Health Center Truman Lake, 1765 Commercial Street in Warsaw

April 30, 8 am to noon for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine on the second floor of the Bothwell Healing Arts Center, 3700 W. 10th Street in Sedalia

People should register by calling Bothwell at (660) 829-8822 or calling their Bothwell provider’s office to schedule an appointment. While appointments are encouraged to reduce wait time, walk-ins are accepted.
