A 29-year old man from Kirksville, MO was injured Monday afternoon in a Johnson County vehicle wreck.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident at approximately 4:30, on US-50 at MO Route D.

According to the online crash report, a 1991 Chrysler, driven by 29-year old Matthew T. Koch, of Kirksville, turned south, failing to a yield to an eastbound Volvo Tractor Trailer, driven by 69-year old Glenn W. Koopman, of Sedalia.

The tractor trailer's front bumper reportedly struck the Chrysler on the passenger side, causing the Chrysler to travel off the road and strike a sign.

Koch suffered moderated injuries and was take to Western Missouri Medical Center, by JCAD, for treatment.

Koopman was reportedly uninjured.

Both men were wearing safety devices.

Knob Noster Police assisted the Patrol at the scene.
