A 44-year old woman from Otterville was injured after her vehicle struck a deer in Pettis County on Tuesday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident at 9:30, on Highway 50 near Monsees Road.

According to the online crash report, a 2009 Chrysler was westbound on Hwy 50 when a deer entered the roadway. The driver, Stephanie K. Rose, slowed down but the vehicle struck the deer. The Chrysler was brought to a controlled stop on the shoulder of the road.

Rose suffered minor injuries and reportedly declined medical treatment. She was wearing a safety device.

The Chrysler sustained moderate damage and towed from the scene.
