Patrick Kent Gwaltney Athletic Memorial Scholarship Established at SFCC

The family of Patrick Kent Gwaltney recently presented $5,000 to the State Fair Community College Foundation to establish an athletic scholarship in Gwaltney’s memory.

Friends and family held a St. Patrick’s Day celebration, Gwaltney’s favorite holiday, to raise funds for an athletic memorial scholarship because of his passion for sports.

Gwaltney died July 22, 2016, of injuries he suffered in a bicycle accident.
