
Pettis County Proclaims Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Pettis County issued a proclamation recognizing October 2026 as Domestic Violence Awareness Month on Thursday morning at the Pettis County Courthouse, 415 South Ohio.
The proclamation underscores the community’s commitment to supporting survivors, raising awareness of domestic violence, and promoting safety and prevention throughout Pettis County.
Domestic Violence Awareness Month serves as an opportunity to recognize the impact of domestic violence on individuals, families, and the community, while highlighting the importance of prevention and resources for those affected. Through the proclamation, local leaders aim to encourage awareness and continued advocacy for survivors and efforts to prevent domestic violence.
Mayor Williams was unable to attend and sign the proclamation.
