Pettis County Sheriff’s Reports for July 16, 2020
This is a compilation of reports released by the Pettis County Sheriff's Office:
On Tuesday, Pettis County deputies responded to 3197 Rissler Road for a report of a burglary not in progress. An investigation was opened.
On Monday, Pettis County deputies arrested Christian W. Ringer of Excelsior Springs for 3rd degree domestic assault that allegedly occurred prior to deputies initiating a traffic stop on his vehicle for speeding. Ringer was placed on a 24-hour hold, pending the formal filing of charges.
On Saturday, John Walker of Sedalia reported to the Pettis County Sheriff's Office that his license plate was either lost or stolen sometime in the last two weeks.
On Saturday at around 3 a.m., Pettis County deputies conducted a warrant check in the 4700 block of South Limit and arrested 24-year-old Shyanne Meyer of Sedalia. Meyer was wanted on four Pettis County warrants. Meyer was taken to the Pettis County Jail with no bond.
On July 9, Pettis County deputies responded to the area of 23600 Highway MM in Pettis County on a report of a motor vehicle theft. Subsequently, Damean D. Simmons was later located and placed ona 24-hour hold, pending the formal filing of charges.
On July 9, Pettis County deputies took a report of a motor vehicle theft. The vehicle was parked at Budget Inn, 4710 South Limit. The vehicle had not yet been located at the time of the report.
On July 6, Pettis County deputies took a report of rape that occurred on Cherry Tree Lane. An investigation is under way.
