Clinton Man Arrested on Drug & Firearm Charges

On Thursday, Clinton Police officers and investigators served a search warrant at a residence in the 300 Block of North Water Street after developing information and evidence that methamphetamine was being sold there.

The search resulted in the seizure of a quantity of methamphetamine, paraphernalia commonly associated with the sale of illicit drugs and a firearm.

Dustin Newell (AKA Cheeseburger), 35, of Clinton, was arrested on investigation of Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm as well as for an outstanding arrest warrant for absconding from parole on the original charges of Burglary in the 2nd Degree, multiple counts of drug possession, Resisting Arrest and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
