
Clinton Woman Faces Murder Charge After Shooting Her Husband in Head While He Slept
On Wednesday at 6:34 a.m., Clinton Police responded to 404 South Main Street.
The reporting party said she had just shot her husband as he slept.
Officers soon arrived on scene and discovered the victim, Thomas Couch, deceased from a gunshot wound.
Investigators were then called to the scene.
The caller and suspect, Angelika Couch, was taken into custody and placed on a 24-hour hold at the Henry County Jail with no bond.
She now faces charges of 1st degree murder and armed criminal action, according to Deputy Chief Capt. John E. Scott.

According to a probable cause statement, Angelika shot her husband in the head while he was sleeping. She also stated that he was threatening her all night long, saying he was going to kill her in the morning when he woke up, so she took a .38 caliber gun off the nightstand and shot him in the back of his head.
