Pettis County Sheriff’s Reports for March 29, 2021

This is a compilation of reports released by the Pettis County Sheriff's Office:

On Saturday night, Pettis County Deputies observed a Ford F-150 traveling on Highway 65 hear West 16th. The driver failed to stop at a red light and made a westbound turn onto West 16th. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver, John Paschetti of Pittsburg, Kansas, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without a valid license (2nd offense).

Early Saturday morning, Pettis County Deputies conducted a vehicle stop in the 1800 block of South Limit on a vehicle failing to maintain its lane. Investigation revealed that the driver, Nelson Carrillo Vega of Nashville, Tenn., was operating a motor vehicle without a valid license. Vega was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail.

On Friday at 8:40 p.m., Pettis County Deputies conducted a traffic stop at 28th and Massachusetts. A computer check revealed that the driver, Brandon Vogan, was wanted on two Pettis County warrants. A passenger in the vehicle, Jennifer Hollobaugh, was also discovered to have two active warrants – one from Moniteau County and the other from Tipton Police. Both were arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Early Friday morning around 1:30 a.m., Pettis County Deputies were alerted to a wrong-way driver. The vehicle was later located, and the driver was found unconscious behind the wheel. The driver then woke and fled the scene, almost striking a deputy, according to the report. A subsequent pursuit ended in Boonville on I-70 after spikes strips were deployed by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The driver, 27-year-old Charles Cody Edwards of Columbia, was arrested and placed on a 24-hour hold for resisting arrest, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle and other traffic charges. Pettis County Deputies were assisted by Saline County Deputies, Cooper County Deputies and the State Patrol.

On Wednesday, March 24, Pettis County Deputies arrested Malachi Edmonson of Sedalia, on an active failure to appear warrant out of Pettis County.

On Wednesday, March 24, Pettis County Deputies and Missouri State Highway Patrol Troopers responded to the 27700 block of Smasal Road on a domestic disturbance. After an investigation, no arrests were made.
