This is a compilation of reports released by the Pettis County Sheriff's Office:

On Monday at 1 a.m. Pettis County Deputies were assisting the Missouri State Highway Patrol with a vehicle accident, when a subject not involved with the accident stopped on the roadway. Deputies made contact with the subject, who was operating a Dodge Dakota. During contact, Deputies could smell the odor of an intoxicating beverage coming from the driver, identified as Aaron J. Sims. Sims placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated.


 

On Monday, Pettis County Deputies towed an abandoned vehicle from US Highway 50 and Highway MM.


 

On Sunday, Pettis County Deputies conducted a traffic stop at Highways 50 and 65 for expired registration. The driver, Bobby Johnson of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Revoked. After a K-9 Unit alerted on the vehicle for the presence of a controlled substance, a female passenger, Kimberly Dickinson of Sedalia, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both were transported to the Pettis County Jail.


On Sunday at 3:40 a.m., a Pettis County Deputy on patrol made contact with a tan 1992 Chevy Suburban occupied by a male driver in the parking lot of Dick's Honda, 5405 South 65. The driver said he was broke down and waiting on someone to bring him a part for his vehicle. A computer check revealed that the driver was wanted on a Benton County warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge of 4th degree assault. The driver was taken to the Benton County Jail and released to jail staff. Bond was set at $1,000 cash or surety.


 

On Saturday, May 22, William Marquess of Sedalia reported that someone opened four bank accounts with Bank of America without her permission. Investigation continues.


 

On May 21 at 8:11 p.m. a Pettis County Deputy responded to 24050 Highway 765, Lot 29 for an assault report. Upon arrival, the reporting party said her boyfriend had assaulted her. There were noticeable injuries to the woman's face, according to the report. A short time later, the suspect was contacted and taken into custody. The unnamed suspect was held pending the formal filing of domestic assault charges.


 

On Friday, May 21 at 2:46 p.m., a Pettis County Deputy responded to 3140 Cannon Drive for a report of a stolen cell phone. Sometime between May 4 and 21, sometime took the woman's cell phone, which was a 10-year-old track phone. No value was given for the phone.


On May 18, Pettis County Deputies responded to the 23000 block of Cedar Drive on a suspicious subject walking around a residence at 12:52 a.m. Upon arrival, Deputies located a male subject identified as Benster Rope of Sedalia. Rope was arrested for 2nd degree trespassing and taken to the Pettis County Jail for a 24-hour hold.


 

On May 18 at 11:30 p.m., a Pettis County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a tan Lexus for an equipment violation at 3rd and Grand. After making contact with the driver, a probable cause search was conducted on the driver and the vehicle. During the search, a small amount of marijuana was located, along with drug paraphernalia. He driver was issued a court date of July 27. In addition, two juveniles in the vehicle were released to their parents at the scene.


 

On May 17, Jacob Thornton reported that his identity was used without his knowledge or permission by a male subject who was arrested March 1 and booked into the Pettis County Jail. The incident is currently under investigation by the Pettis County Sheriff's Office and charges of identity theft were being sought.
