State Fair Community College Roadrunners basketball head coach Matt Brown has announced the addition of six student-athletes to the Roadrunners 2017-2018 recruiting class, three freshmen and three sophomores.

Caleb Coleman is a 6’7’’ forward who played at Hammond High School in Hammond, Indiana, for head coach Larry Moore Jr.

Coleman averaged 24 points, pulled down 12 rebounds and registered three blocked shots per game. He was named all-area conference Player of the Year and first team all-conference. He earned first team all-state honors and twice was named sectional Player of the Week.

“Caleb will bring athleticism,” said Brown. “He will score from the wing position and play multiple positions. I believe his skill level is very good."

Dominic Fragola is a 6’0’’ guard from Liberty North High School in Liberty, Missouri. He played for head coach Chris McCabe.

Fragola averaged 12 points and three assists per game as a senior and shot 41 percent from the three-point arc. He ranks first in Liberty North’s school history in three-point shots made in a season and in a career. He was named first team all-conference, first team all-district and Most Valuable Player at the Norm Stewart Classic. He also was named to the All-Tournament team at the Liberty North Classic and the Courier Tribune All-Star team.

“Dominic is a good shooter,” said assistant coach Adam Short. “He has a very quick shot release and spends a lot of time in the gym. He can get to the basket."

Glenroy Rolle is a 6’7’’ forward from Exuma, Bahamas, who played basketball at Vision Prep in Richmond, Kentucky, for head coach Cameron Jackson. He played high school basketball at Galilean Christian Academy for head coach Darrel Sears.

As a senior, he averaged 19.5 points, pulled down 12.8 rebounds and recorded 1.9 blocks per game. Rolle was the leading scorer and earned the highest field-goal percentage award. He also recorded the most rebounds and blocked shots.

“Glenroy is an excellent rebounder who runs the floor and scores around the basket,” said Short. “He will be a good teammate and will work hard in the classroom."

Derrick Brock Jr. is a 5’10’’ sophomore guard transfer from Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington where he played for coach Brown. The Leesville, Louisiana, native averaged 12.8 points per game as a freshman at Wentworth. He averaged 3.7 assists and registered a team-leading 1.1 steals per contest. He was an all-region player at Wentworth.

“Derrick has been in the system for a year,” said Brown. “He is a very good student and will bring leadership and toughness. He also understands my expectations."

Christian Brown is a 6’1’’ guard from Springfield who joined the Roadrunners last season as a walk on. Brown played in four games before suffering an injury that caused him to miss the rest of the season. He averaged four points per game and has earned a scholarship this season.

“Christian brings a partial year of college basketball experience to our team,” said Brown. “He can shoot the ball and will be a good fit for our system."

A.J. Walker is a transfer from Little Priest Tribal College, an NJCAA Division II school in Winnebago, Nebraska. As a freshman, he averaged 15 points per game to lead his team while shooting 42 percent from the field. He shot 35 percent from the three-point arc and 70 percent from the free-throw line. He also dished out a team-high 4.6 assists per game. Walker also played at Ruskin High School in Kansas City for head coach Jerry Marlin.

“A.J.’s quickness and ability to get into the paint and score will definitely be an asset for us next year,” said Brown. “I believe bringing another experienced guard into the program will benefit our team."
