The Smith-Cotton track teams captured first place in both the girls and boys divisions Monday in the S-C Invitational at Tiger Stadium.

The Lady Tigers racked up 147 points; Blair Oaks was second with 110 points. The Tigers dominated, scoring 171 points while Crest Ridge was second with 93.5.
S-C's Alyssa Hagan won both girls hurdle events, the 100 meters and 300 meters.

Other Lady Tigers taking first in their events were Saige Peterson, 400 meters; and Nia Hawkins, long jump.

For the Tigers, event winners were Nate McFail, pole vault; Juan Cantu, shot put; Tyshawn Ward, 200 meters; Viktor Tsymbol, 110-meter hurdles; the 4x800 relay team (Irvin Zalpa, Eabey Carlos, Carlos Costilla, Isaac Marcos); the 4x100 relay team (Elijah Choate, Chandler Koetting, Brennan Akeson, Ward); and the 4x200 relay team (Yoswal Diaz, Isaiah Robinson, Choate, Ward).
