Four singles and seven RBIs from Cody Damlo helped lead Sacred Heart past Green Ridge 24-9 on Tuesday.

Damlo singled in the third, fifth, and twice in the sixth as the gremlins batted around in the inning. Sacred Heart would eventually put up 14 runs in the sixth inning driven by hits by six different gremlins including the two singles by Damlo and a double by Chase Marshall. The game would end after six innings.

Easton Webb supplied the offense early with a two-run homer off Green Ridge starting pitcher Tanner Hoos in the first inning, also scoring Bryan Schlotterbeck who reached base after a walk. Schlotterbeck earned the win on the mound.  He surrendered four runs on two hits over two and a third innings.

Webb threw three and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen to earn the save as the game was still close before Sacred Heart’s sixth inning explosion.

Hoos took the loss for Green Ridge. He allowed eight hits and ten runs over five innings, striking out seven and walking one.

Sacred Heart totaled 14 hits. Damlo, Nolan Walker, Lucas Martin, and Webb all managed multiple hits for the gremlins.

Sacred Heart 2-4 (2-3) will play Cole Camp at 4 p.m. at Centennial on Thursday.
