Sacred Heart dropped a tough one at home to district opponent and #1 ranked St. Paul Lutheran.

St. Paul (14-0-1) scored in the fourth minute of the game off a defensive mistake by the Gremlins
The Gremlin’s defense held strong for the remaining 76 minutes, surrendering very little offensively to the Saints.

The Gremlins had their best opportunity in the final minute of the game. Off an Ian Viscarra corner kick, Juan Pablo Suarez collected the ball in the box and fired a shot towards the net. A St. Paul’s defender headed the ball off the line to prevent the equalizing goal.

Sacred Heart gets less than 24 hours of rest before returning to Clover Dell Soccer Park Friday night to face Ewing Kauffman (4-3) for SH Homecoming, according to head coach Sam Jones.
