Sacred Heart Speech Team Competes at SFCC, Advances to State

In a field of talented competition, the Sacred Heart Talking Gremlins shined with each member advancing to finals at the district speech competition on Saturday, March 2, at State Fair Community College.

Summer Caton's second place finish in Humorous qualified her to advance to the State speech, debate, and drama competition in Springfield on April 13. Caton also took fourth in Storytelling and fifth in duet acting with partner Alyssa Perez. Perez also earned fourth in Prose.

Jeff Hollabaugh placed third in US Extemporaneous Speaking, and Addie Hunsaker placed seventh in Radio Speaking. The team is coached by Mrs. Jan Bahner.
