Sacred Heart Talking Grems Take Second at SFCC Contest

Sacred Heart's Talking Gremlins speech team won second place in a conference contest Wednesday night at State Fair Community College.

Freshman Donavan Dobson competed in Prose Reading, and with partner Sophomore Hayden Altena, finished sixth in Improv Duet. Hayden also took third place in Radio Speaking. Sophomore Jeff Hollabaugh came in fifth place in Extemporaneous speaking. Sophomore Jaysen Gerke finished fifth in Dramatic and fifth in Prose.

Sophomore Addie Hunsaker took seventh in Poetry, fifth in Storytelling, and fourth in Radio Speaking. Senior Alyssa Preez and Junior Summer Caton teamed up to take second place in Duet Acting. Alyssa also placed sixth in Poetry and third in Prose. Summer also took second in Storytelling and first in Humorous.

The Gremlin speech team competes again on Saturday in the Central District Tournament at State Fair.
