Economic Development Sedalia-Pettis County Announces New Board President
Economic Development Sedalia–Pettis County (EDSPC) has announced the appointment of Kyle Weymuth as their new Board President.
Having served on the Board of Directors for many years, Weymuth brings a deep understanding of the organization’s mission, priorities, and impact within the community.
During his tenure on the board, Weymuth has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing the goals of EDSPC and supporting its continued growth. His leadership, insight, and dedication have been instrumental on the board as our focus has been and always will be business recruitment, retention, and expansion, and we are excited to see him step into this role. As Board President, Weymuth will work closely with Executive Director, Jessica Craig, and help guide the strategic direction of the organization and continue building upon its strong foundation.
In addition to his service on the Economic Development Board, Weymuth is the owner of W-K Family of Dealerships, a longstanding family business rooted in our community. Through his leadership in both business and civic engagement, Weymuth has demonstrated a strong commitment to local growth, economic vitality, and community partnerships. He understands firsthand the importance of investing in the place we call home, and his perspective as a local business owner brings valuable insight to this role.

The organization also extends its sincere gratitude to outgoing Board President, Rusty Kahrs, for his dedicated service and leadership over the past 15 years. During his time as President, Kahrs has played a key role in some of the biggest and most influential project announcements that Sedalia has seen in the last 10 years. We are thankful for his ability to guide growth, strengthen partnerships, and lead our board for so many years.
Economic Development looks forward to this next chapter under Kyle Weymuth’s leadership and remains committed to serving Sedalia-Pettis County as a great place to live and work.
