Funeral Announcements for August 12, 2025

The family of  Mary Ellen Young, 95, of Sedalia, will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12 at Heckart Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

A memorial service for Dorothy "Cookie" Jean Heyer, 81, of Sedalia, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13 at Rea Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Mass of Christian Burial for Donald Leo Klein, 93, of Smithton, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 14 at St. Vincent de Paul Parish, Sacred Heart Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 13 at Rea Funeral Chapel. Recitation of the Rosary will begin at 5:30 p.m., prior to the visitation. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Bahner, MO, with full military honors conducted by the United States Army and the Sedalia VFW Post #2591. Arrangements are in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.

There are no services scheduled at this time for Mitch Dean Sisemore, 28, of Sedalia. Arrangements are in care of Heckart Funeral Home.

No services are planned for Charles E. Schlagel, 79, of Warsaw. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home.
