The Sedalia Kiwanis will be having a Card Party on Saturday to play some Pitch and Hand and Foot.  The Kiwanis is home to some of the the largest youth service programs in the world. Their local clubs programs empower elementary school students, tweens and teens to make an impact through service and leadership.  They also help a lot with our local charities that get overlooked, and that's what this weekend's Card Party is all about.

Service is at the heart of every Kiwanis International club, no matter where in the world it’s located. Kiwanis members stage nearly 150,000 service projects, devote more than 6 million hours of service and raise nearly $100 million every year for communities, families and projects. Key Club members pitch in 12 million hours of service each year, and CKI members another 500,000 hours of service!

The local Sedalia Kiwanis are always planning events here locally to help who ever needs it.  This weekend, they're hosting their Card Party, and some of that money will go to our local Sedalia Senior Center.

I got to talk with Anne  Dove of the Sedalia Kiwanis about the Card Party and different ways you can help.

So make sure you attend the Card Party on Saturday, March 1 from 7:00 to about 9:00 p.m.  It'll be held at the Sedalia Senior Center.  Every little bit helps, and you know that our Senior Center deserves all the help our citizens can muster.  If you need more information on the Card Party or on the Sedalia Kiwanis, you can call Anne at 660-527-3794.

Cardly yours,
Behka
