On the afternoon of May 17th, Sedalia Police responded to the area of West 4th Street and South Missouri Avenue in reference to a domestic disturbance involving a firearm.

The victim was able to drive to the Police Department.

The suspect was apprehended in the 800 block of West 4th Street. The suspect was taken to the BRHC for medical treatment, then transported to the Pettis County Jail.

Cosa W. Hoskins, 32, of Sedalia, was placed on a 24-hour hold, pending state charges of 2nd Degree Domestic Assault, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, 2nd Degree Property Damage, and Violation of a Court Order.

Hoskins was also held without bond on a felony Failure to Appear warrant for Probation Violation on original charges Non Support from Saline County.

Hoskins also had two warrants out of Pettis County on charges of felony Forgery, felony Receiving Stolen Property, 1st Degree felony Burglary, 4th Degree Domestic Assault, and 1st Degree felony Harassment. Bond on the Pettis County warrants was set at $51,500 cash or surety.
