Sedalia Man Faces Charges of Assault, Endangering & Child Abuse

On Sunday at 3:43 a.m., Sedalia Police responded to 900 Winchester Drive for a disturbance in progress.

According to the probable cause statement,  Officers spoke to several subjects on scene.  It was determined the suspect, Orekly Rufino, was attempting to strike his wife, but was stopped by his son (who is listed as under the age of 17).  Rufino then reportedly struck his son in the face instead.  When asked what happened, Rufino stated nothing happened, while yelling things to his children in another language.  The victim had red marks near both of his collar bones, and photos  were uploaded to the case file.  A hotline report was also completed. Rufino was determined to be the  primary physical aggressor and placed under arrest.
