Funeral Announcements for March 17, 2026

A Celebration of Life for Gary S. Bennett, Sr., 70, of Sedalia, will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, March 21 at the Heckart Family Center, 915 S. Ohio Ave., Sedalia.
A celebration of life gathering will be held by the family at a later date for Michael Darrell McNeil, Jr., 54, of Sedalia. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.

A graveside service for Billie Ann Bittle, 90, of Sedalia, Missouri, formerly of Lindsay, California, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 18 at Rabourn Cemetery in La Monte. Cremation arrangements are in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.

A celebration of life for Mickey Adell Snider, 69, of Sedalia,  will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, March 20 at Rea Funeral Chapel.

No formal services will be held for Maurine M. Calder, 91, of Lee's Summit, formerly of Sedalia.  A private family celebration of life will be held in the mountains of New Hampshire.

A celebration of life for Mary Virginia Hockaday, 65, of Sedalia, will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 21 with a location to be determined. Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.

The family of Wilma Jean McFail, 90, of Houstonia, will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 17 at Heckart Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 18 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Houstonia Cemetery.

A Vigil Prayer Service for Deacon Turf D. Martin, 71, of Sedalia, will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 20 at Sacred Heart Chapel of Saint Vincent de Paul Parish. Visitation will follow from 5 to 8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 21 at Sacred Heart Chapel of Saint Vincent de Paul Parish. A luncheon will be held following Mass in the basement of St. Patrick Chapel, followed by burial at St. John the Evangelist Cemetery in Bahner.
