Sedalia Parks & Recreation is excited to announce the official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the brand-new outdoor pickleball courts at Liberty Park, located by Vansell Field and across the parking lot from the Heckart Community Center, on the north end of Liberty Park.

The ribbon cutting will take place on Thursday, Sept. 11 at 5 p.m.

The public is warmly invited to attend and celebrate the opening of this much-anticipated recreational addition to the community.

Pickleball has quickly become one of the fastest-growing sports nationwide, and the new courts at Liberty Park provide another exciting opportunity for residents of all ages to stay active, connect with others, and enjoy the outdoors. Whether you’re a seasoned player or brand new to the sport, these new courts are designed to meet the needs of beginners and competitive players alike.

Following the ribbon cutting, guests are encouraged to explore the courts and pick up a paddle to give the game a try.
