Sedalia Police arrested a man on a bicycle after engaging in a brief pursuit on Saturday.

According to a report, an officer attempted to conduct a subject check on the man in the 800 block of West La Grand Avenue at 12:57 a.m. as he was leaving the area.

The officer activated his lights and siren, but the biker refused to stop and a short chase ensued. He was quickly apprehended, and found to be in possession of methamphetamine, a syringe and digital scales. He was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail.

24-year-old Christopher Howard Walker of Sedalia was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, distribution of a controlled substance and resisting arrest. He was also wanted on five warrants.
