Sedalia Police reports 8-6-19

Sedalia Police arrested 21-year-old Joram Ariel Perez Rivas at 20th and Carr at 3:34 a.m. Monday after receiving a call of a subject breaking into vehicles. According to a report, a witness saw Rivas open doors on two cars and started following him. The suspect threw two boards at her and the suspect was later located in a field and arrested. Rivas was charged with 4th degree assault.


 

On Aug. 1 around 11 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to a call involving several people fighting in the roadway. Upon arrival in the 200 block of South Limit, the officer saw one subject in the headlights of a car in the right lane, with several more off to the shoulder. According to a report, 39-year-old Jason R. Vestal of Sedalia was intoxicated and tried to coax the others into a physical altercation. Vestal was placed on a 12-hour protective custody hold.


 

Sedalia Police stopped a red sedan that was being driven erratically in the 2600 block of East Broadway around 8 p.m. Aug. 1. A check of the driver revealed that 42-year-old Mariaelena Diaz Prisendorf of Sedalia was intoxicated. Her vehicle also had a flat tire. She was taken to the SPD for a breathalyzer test, where she was cited and released with a Sept. 4 court date.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at Broadway and Ruth Ann Drive just before 2 a.m. Friday. 28-year-old Brett Michael Hocking of Sedalia was found to be wanted on a Saline County warrant. According to the report, he was transported to the Saline County Jail on a $2,500 cash or surety bond. He now has an Aug. 21 court date.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 50-year-old William C. Mulcrone of Sedalia at Casey's, 1601 E. Broadway at 10:15 a.m. Aug. 1. Mulcrone was wanted on four Pettis County warrants. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail with no bond.


 

Sedaloia Police arrested 35-year-old Antione Perry at Bothwell ER, 601 E. 14th and a parole warrant with no bond on Aug. 1. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where methamphetamine was found on his person. He was also charged with introducing a controlled substance into a jail facility.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 31-year-old Barry Darnell Simmons at 11th and Lamine just after 11 p.m. Aug. 2 after a traffic stop on a silver Mercedes with a headlight out. A computer check revealed that Simmons was driving while suspended. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released.


 

Sedalia Police took a hit-and-run report at Kohl's, 4300 Wisconsin Avenue just before 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3. According to a report, a witness saw a silver Dodge Dakota strike another vehicle before leaving the area south on Oak Grove.


 

Sedalia Police responded to a call at Dollar General, 2003 S. Limit, on a female acting suspicious. The female was allegedly concealing items she picked up in the store. She was previously trespassed from the store, so the officer issued a trespassing summons to 33-year-old Tiffany A. Ditzfeld of Sedalia with a Sept. 18 court date.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 45-year-old Stephen Wayne Hassler of Otterville on a parole violation at 808 E. Broadway at 12:01 a.m. Monday. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail with no bond.


 

Sedalia Police arrested Douglas Edward Grant of Sedalia on a Pettis County warrant for neglect of a child Aug. 3 in the 2400 block of Poplar Place after officers responded to a disturbance in the area. Grant was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $150 bond.


 

On Aug. 4, Sedalia Police arrested Sarah Dalene McAteer of Sedalia at 10th and Center after a traffic stop. She was wanted on a Pettis County warrant with a $250 bond. She was also wanted on a Municipal warrant with a $150 bond.
