Sedalia Police reports 12-16-19

Sedalia Police responded to a call of a non-breather at 716 of W. 16th on Saturday morning around 8:30 a.m. SPD, SFD and PCAD all responded to Casey's and located the victim in the restroom, not breathing and with no pulse. The person was pronounced deceased and Petis County Coroner Skip Smith was contacted and he also responded to the scene. The body was taken to Rea Funeral Home.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 18-year-old Alex Ray Zeiler of Sedalia at Broadway and Hancock at 12:08 a.m. Saturday after conducting a traffic stop for no license plate lights. He was found to be in possession of dug paraphernalia, marijuana and cocaine. Zeiler was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 24-hour hold.


 

On Saturday at 1:02 a.m., at 1100 South Marvin, Sedalia Police arrested 23-year-old Charity Shyayne Marie Card of Sedalia, on a FTA Municipal warrant for driving while suspended. Card was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $60 bond. She now has a Dec. 15 court date.


 

On Saturday morning, a man reported the theft of $1,125 worth of items from his father's residence in the 900 block of Thompson. Police were supplied with posisble suspect names.


 

Sedalia Police arrested 33-year-old Whitney A. Mason of Sedalia at 4th and New York after a traffic stop at 11:51 p.m. Friday. She was found to be driving while revoked. Mason was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released.


 

On Friday night around 8:45 p.m., Sedalia Police arrested 33-year-old Margaret Michelle Keele of Sedalia in the 1800 block of South Kentucky. She was wanted on two Cooper County warrants for traffic violations. Keele was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $300 bond. She now has a Jan. 23 court date.


 

On Friday morning, Sedalia Police responded to Heber Hunt Elementary, 600 S. Warren, to take a child abuse report of an incident that occurred in the 200 block of East St. Louis Street on a referral from the Children's Division of Social Services. A detective is now working on the case, involving child endangerment and bruises. An interview with Child Safe of Central Missouri, was set up.


 

On Friday afternoon, Sedalia Police arrested 39-year-old Anthony L. Lory of Sedalia at 16th and Carr after a traffic stop. A computer check revealed Lory was wanted on a Johnson County warrant. He was taken to the Pettis County Jail on a $150 bond.


 

On Dec. 10, Sedalia Police took a report involving the theft of a package from a front porch in the 600 block of W. 10th. Security footage of the two suspects was given to police, and on Dec. 13, the suspects were located, questioned and arrested. 33-year-old Joshua J. Miley and Brennah Dawn Bowers, both of the 500 block of W. 7th were taken into custody and charged with stealing.
