Sedalia Police reports 8-20-19
Sedalia Police responded to a disturbance at 2:31 a.m. in the 2500 block of Dennis Road on Saturday. Two parents were fighting, according to a report. 31-year-old Zachary Alan Robejsek was determined to be the primary aggressor and was arrested for 4th degree domestic assaul, The other party, Brittany Bond, was wanted on a Municipal warrant. Both were taken to the Pettis County Jail.
Sedalia Police, Sedalia Fire and PCAD responded to the 1200 block of Liberty Park Blvd., on a suicide at 3:23 a.m. Sunday. Despite lifesaving efforts, the 18-year-old male was declared dead at the scene. He apparently shot himself with a pistol, and no foul play is suspected, according to a report.
On Monday morning, Sedalia Police took a stack of fake $100 bills into evidence that were found in the 700 block of W. 9th.
Sedalia Police arrested a convicted felon on Saturday evening in the 600 block of North Osage. 23-year-old Brandon Michael Markell of Sedalia was found hiding inside the residence. He was charged with resisting arrest, unlawful possession of a concealable weapon, delivery of a controlled substance and parole violation. Markell was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail.
ABC Mini-Storage, 1300 West Main, reported that two units were entered and items stolen from them on Friday. The total value of the damage, which included two holes cut in the fence as well as items taken, was estimated at $2,730. There are no suspects.
Sedalia Police responded to a traffic complaint at Broadway and Engineer on Saturday at 3:24 p.m., and the suspect was later located at 5th and Vermont at 6:40 p.m. A computer check revealed that 40-year-old Douglas L. Langford was wanted on a Clay County warrant. He was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail.
On Friday around 4:15 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to a motor vehicle accident at Limit and Liberty Park Blvd. One of the drivers, 25-year-old Schyler A. Ray of Pettis County, was found to be driving while suspended. Ray was issued a citation at the scene and released.
On Sunday around 9 p.m., Casey's General Store, 1909 West Main, reported that an older white male left the store without paying for a 30-pack of Natural Lite Beer, valued at $19.34.
The MSHP arrested 35-year-old Alicia D. Smith of Sedalia, at 7:06 p.m. Monday in Pettis County. Smith was wanted on three felony warrants out of Pettis County, and one felony warrant out of Benton County. She was taken to the Pettis County Jail.
