Sedalia Police Reports For July 16, 2020

Early Thursday morning, a traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of East Broadway Boulevard and South Hancock Avenue. Following the investigation, Olga E. Cano, 24, of Sedalia was arrested for Driving While Suspended and then released on a summons.
Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of South Vermont and West 3rd Street following a short, slow speed vehicle pursuit Thursday night. Following the investigation, Derek C. Brooks, 35, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign. Brooks was transported to the Pettis County Jail where he was booked and released.
Wednesday afternoon, Police were dispatched to the 300 block of West 4th Street in regard to an assault which had just taken place. Officers made contact with the victim and learned they had gotten into a fight with their significant other, which escalated into physical violence. Officers were told one of the subjects threatened the other with a knife, and the other subject punched the initial subject in the mouth. Both had minor injuries and neither wanted charges pressed. The incident was documented in a 12 hour log.
Early Thursday morning, An Officer was patrolling the area of the businesses on Wisconsin Avenue. The Officer observed a male subject digging in the trash can at Club Carwash, in the 4200 block of Wisconsin Avenue. The subject provided their information to the Officer. The Officer ran the information through dispatch, confirming a Saline County Warrant on the subject for Failure To Appear on an original charge of Stealing. Kenneth L. Millard, 32, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Millard's bond is set at $2500 cash or surety.
Sedalia Police performed a traffic stop on a black BMW car, as an occupant had a Sedalia Municipal Warrant Thursday night. The traffic stop took place in the 4100 block of West Broadway Boulevard. Officers spoke to the occupant, Keisha Ocean Luray Ford, 19, of Sedalia. Ford's warrant for Failure to Appear on an original charge of Stealing was confirmed, with a $60 bond. Ford was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail.
