Tuesday evening, Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 500 block of East 5th Street for an assault report. The victim stated she was assaulted by a person known to her, while she was at her residence. The victim was complaining of a pain to her left arm. The victim went to the hospital for treatment of her arm. It was determined the victim had a broken arm. Police made contact with the suspect and took him into custody for Domestic Assault in the 2nd Degree. Kurt William Ross, 34, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail.

On the morning of June 9th, a business in the 3200 block of West Broadway reported a suspicious subject in the parking lot. Officers arrived to do a welfare check and found Russell Lewis Tindall, 52, of Versailles, who appeared to be under the influence of drugs. During the check, Tindall admitted to the presence of illegal drugs in the vehicle. During a probable cause search of the vehicle, drug paraphernalia containing illegal drugs was recovered. Tindall was placed under arrest without incident and transported to the Pettis County Jail for charges of Possession Of a Dangerous Drug and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the 800 block of Ruth Ann Drive for a domestic disturbance Tuesday afternoon. Officer arrived and investigated the incident, finding that the incident was physical between both parties involved and it was mutual. No injuries occurred and neither party wanted to pursue charges. Both parties were recommended to separate for the evening.


 

Early Tuesday morning, Officers responded to the area of West 16th and South Grand for a report of a motor vehicle accident. A west bound vehicle ran off the roadway in the intersection and then struck a stop sign, four yard signs, and also caused damage to a structure at 800 West 16th. The suspect vehicle fled the scene prior to law enforcement's arrival.


 

Officers responded to Central Missouri Sales in the 3500 block of South Limit Monday afternoon for a report of stolen cattle. A patron at the facility recognized cattle at the sale barn to be his. It was found the individual who brought in the cattle was acquainted to the actual cattle owner. Through investigation, it was determined the cattle owner resided in Saline County. Due to the offense occurring in another jurisdiction, the case will be forwarded to the Saline County Sheriff's Department. No further information was contained in the report.


 

Monday afternoon, Sedalia Police took a theft report from the Police Headquarters Lobby of theft. A subject who works for Neumayer Equipment stated a concrete saw was stolen from his work truck overnight while parked at the Comfort Inn, 3600 West Broadway. The incident occurred between Monday and Tuesday. The saw was valued at $1,000. A suspect has not been located at the time of the report.


 

Tuesday afternoon, Sedalia Police spoke with Samantha E. Howard in reference to charges on her credit card. Howard advised that her credit card had been charged multiple times by a company she had never heard of. She stated that she did not authorize these transactions. Some of the charges occurred while Howard was living out of state. The charges have continued now that she lives in Sedalia.

Officers responded to the Dollar General in the 600 block of North Ohio for a report of theft Monday afternoon. Upon arrival Officers spoke with the complainant, who stated a customer, the suspect, left without paying for items in the store.
