Two Sedalians Killed in Crash With Dump Truck

Two Sedalians were killed in a two-vehicle wreck that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2015 Toyota Camry, driven by a 50-year-old man from Sedalia, entered the intersection at US Highway 50 and Route MM around 4:15 p.m., on a green light, when a westbound 2004 Mac dump truck, driven by a 36-year-old man from Shelbina, struck the Camry.

The driver was flown to BRHC by LifeFlight, but later died.

His passenger, a 48-year-old woman from Sedalia, died at the scene.

The names of the deceased were not released by the Patrol.

Pettis County Deputies assisted the three Troopers on scene.
